Call for Ambassadors
Want to represent WordCamp Islamabad 2026 in your city, university, workplace, or local community?
We’re looking for passionate and proactive people to become WordCamp Islamabad 2026 Ambassadors and help us spread the word, connect with new communities, and encourage more people to become part of the WordPress ecosystem.
Whether you’re already active in the WordPress community or simply excited about technology, learning, networking, and community building, we’d love to hear from you.
Roles and Responsibilities
WordCamp Islamabad 2026 Ambassadors will support the Organising Team by helping promote the event and build stronger connections with communities across Pakistan.
Ambassador responsibilities may include:
- Promoting WordCamp Islamabad 2026 within your city, university, workplace, or professional network
- Sharing official event announcements and updates
- Encouraging students, professionals, freelancers, developers, designers, marketers, and business owners to attend
- Helping spread awareness about tickets, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other WordCamp opportunities
- Connecting the Organising Team with universities, communities, organisations, and local groups
- Supporting community outreach activities
- Sharing official WordCamp Islamabad content on social media
- Answering basic questions about the event and directing people to official resources
- Helping identify potential attendees, volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and community partners
- Supporting local promotional activities where possible
Ambassador responsibilities may evolve as we get closer to the event.
You don’t need to handle everything on your own. The Organising Team will provide guidance, official information, and promotional material to help you represent WordCamp Islamabad 2026 effectively.
What’s Involved?
Being an ambassador is a flexible community role.
You can contribute according to your availability and strengths. Some ambassadors may focus mainly on social media, while others may help with universities, local communities, meetups, workplaces, or professional networks.
Activities may include:
- Sharing WordCamp announcements
- Connecting with local communities
- Promoting registration and ticket sales
- Encouraging participation in WordPress community activities
- Supporting outreach campaigns
- Helping organise small awareness sessions or community meetups where appropriate
- Providing feedback from your local community to the Organising Team
The exact activities and expectations will be communicated to selected ambassadors.

We ask every ambassador to:

- Share only accurate and official event information
- Communicate regularly with the Organising Team
- Respond to important ambassador updates when required
- Promote WordCamp positively and responsibly
- Avoid making unofficial commitments on behalf of the Organising Team
- Encourage inclusion and participation from people of different backgrounds and experience levels
- Represent the WordPress community with honesty, enthusiasm, and respect
Most importantly, we’re looking for people who genuinely want to help grow the community.
Who Can Become an Ambassador?
Everyone who is passionate about community building and WordPress is encouraged to apply.
You can be:
- A university or college student
- A developer or designer
- A freelancer
- A marketer or content creator
- A teacher or trainer
- A business owner
- A community organiser
- A WordPress professional
- A member of a tech community
- Someone who is new to WordPress but wants to get involved
You do not need to be a WordPress expert.
Previous community or event experience is helpful, but it is not required.
Ambassador Requirements
To become a WordCamp Islamabad 2026 Ambassador, you should:
- Be interested in promoting WordCamp Islamabad 2026 within your community or network.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be responsible and able to stay in touch with the Organising Team.
- Be willing to dedicate some time to outreach and promotional activities.
- Follow the WordCamp Code of Conduct and community guidelines.
- Use official event information and promotional material provided by the Organising Team.
- Be enthusiastic about bringing more people into the WordPress community.
Having leadership, communication, community-building, or event-organising experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
