Sometimes, all a student needs is access to the right room, the right people, and the right opportunity.
For WordCamp Islamabad 2026, we are offering scholarships to 3 deserving students who are interested in technology, WordPress, web development, design, marketing, freelancing, AI, or building a career in the digital world.
The scholarship is intended for students who would genuinely benefit from attending WordCamp Islamabad but may find the cost of participation difficult to manage.
You do not need to be a WordPress expert.
You do not need years of experience.
You just need curiosity, willingness to learn, and a desire to make the most of the opportunity.
What will scholarship recipients receive?
Each selected student will receive:
- Complimentary access to WordCamp Islamabad 2026
- Access to Contributor Day on 24 October
- Access to Conference Day on 25 October
- Hands-on workshops and learning opportunities
- Opportunity to join 1:1 mentorship sessions
- Talks, panels, networking and community activities
- A chance to meet developers, designers, marketers, freelancers, founders and other professionals from the WordPress ecosystem
Please note: Travel, accommodation, and other personal expenses are not covered. Scholarship recipients must arrange these at their own expense.
Who can apply?
You can apply if:
- You are currently enrolled in a college, university, technical institute or recognised learning program.
- You are interested in technology, WordPress, web development, design, marketing, freelancing, AI, entrepreneurship or related fields.
- Financial circumstances make attending the event difficult for you.
- You can attend WordCamp Islamabad on 24 and 25 October 2026.
- You are willing to actively participate rather than simply collect a ticket or certificate.
Previous WordPress experience is not required.
Students who have never attended a WordCamp before are especially encouraged to apply.
How will we select the students?
Applications will be reviewed by the WordCamp Islamabad organizing team.
We will consider:
- Financial need
- Motivation for attending
- How the student hopes to use what they learn
- Interest in learning, technology or community participation
- Whether this would be their first opportunity to attend a WordCamp
Academic grades, university ranking, social media following, or professional connections will not determine the selection.
We want to support students for whom this opportunity can make a meaningful difference.
